In our modern society of hyper individualist competition, we're pitted against one another. So in the modern capitalist american society, many of his critiques still land with hundred % efficiency and accuracy. Ye, there's no doubt he would be horrified by consumer capitalism. I mean, consumer ism where everything is based on buying stuff, it would be the end point of his nightmare. Not even worse than utopian socialism, i think. Y there's a sort of empty nihilism inherent in consumerism. Ya an harri ae, absolutely.
