The way farming works is that usually the land is owned by a zaminda, right, like a land law. The farmers themselves are most probably a backward cast of some category because they are tenants and pay rent to their zaminda as rent. And then the zaminda collects that and pays it to the, to the British, right? Like that's the chain of taxation.
