The Remonstrants - Rejection of Errors

The remonstrants were taking us back to late mediaeval theology. They re defined faith as something that we have helped to form, and it has some inherent virtue. So our free co operation with ace makes grace efficacious in the remonstrant scheme. And so without it, then redemption and grace remain a potential. It's not actual. Christ has not accomplished salvation. It's just been made possible.
