David Miscavige has a $20,000 desk made out of steel and leather. Mike Rinder had been standing outside a meeting when Miscavige burst through a screen door wearing only a terry cloth bathrobe. He grabbed Rinder's neck, slapped him, punched him, and threw him against a tree. "Bathrobes have had a very bad, bad couple of years," he says.
