Red Menace

CHAPTER

The Dictatorship of the Proletariat

Stalen argues that socialism is not a fleeting period of super revolutionary acts and deeds, but rather qt an entire historical era replete with civil wars and external conflicts. The dictatorship of the proletariat as the rule over the now suppressed bourgeoisie can only be realized in soviet democracy. Stahlen ends this part of the chapter arguing that the dictatorship of the proletarian is the transition from capitalism to communism. It is the form socialism takes if it wants to last any significant period of time.
