Radiation Is More Harmful to Women Than Men
A whole city full of people, all ages, both genders were irradiated at the same time. For every two men who died of cancer in a study group of abomb survivors, for every two menWho died, three women died of cancer. Little boys got five times more cancer than expected by reference man as the model. That's a doubling. And it was very startling. As a biological researcher, when you get a doubling of almost anything you stop and listen.
