The Problem With Death and Marriage in the Elgar
Once you have the bottle of union, you're married. The reason why death does not end marriage for elves is because an Elvish fae would be rehoused. That was the whole problem with Finway and Muriel. An Elvish spirit would get a new body and therefore still be married to the person they were married to before.
