Introduction

Nine Marks exists to equip church leaders with a biblical vision and practical resources for building healthy churches. We're publishing a new journal on that topic called Church Discipline, Medicine for the Body. Jonathan Lehman: Why did you pick discipline as one of the Nine Marks? Mark Devere: Because I think when we just affirm church membership positively, without talking about how church membership can be involuntarily ended then we've not written anything very clear.
