In Flight Entertainment Network Fire
A segment of in flight entertainment network power supply unit cable exhibited a region of re solidified copper on one wire that was caused by an arcing event. It could not be determined whether this arcd wire was the lead event. So they have a strong suspicion that this is what started the fire. They can't say a hundred % definitively, but they said this is most likely where it started and it was a power cable for the infliht entertainment network member. This was september 19 90, and swiss air had just installed new in flight entertainment for their business class and first class passengers.
