Gatsby vs Pip Estella

There's definitely like this weird Gatsby esque vibe going on there for me. Like occasionally with the pip Estella being a gentleman thing, there are proto great Gatsby vibes there to me. And his desire to become a proper gentleman so he can do it. Just as Gatsby wants to become a member of society and he's never going to make it. That's kind of where Pip finds himself. You know there was a 1998 film that probably some people will let them know, remember it? It had Ethan Hawke as the Pip character. He just loves making things modern.
