The diverse populations that we have in the united states aren't necessarily represented equally in those data bases. And so getting more data in that regard is also really important to make sure that we give them sort of most useful information back by avoiding, you know, having fewer v u ses s.

Joining us for this discussion is Dr. Heather Cheng, Director of the Prostate Cancer Genetics Clinic at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and Associate Professor in the Clinical Research Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She focuses on improving the care of patients with prostate and bladder cancers. An expert in prostate cancer genetics, she is studying ways to use genetics to guide the care of prostate cancer patients and their family members who may also be at high risk for the disease.
