Fred: As long as you're not like egregiously overdoing it one way or the other, your body will compensate to a certain extent. We don't know what those are in an ultra marathon setting. But when you have athletes that are kind of in the middle of that sweat sodium bell curve, you can there's tolerance there, right? Fred: If we avoid the extremes, generally, we know what works. So if an athlete has no practice with GI tolerance is trying to get four to 500 calories per hour, that becomes an issue.
