The Tension Between Hayek and Friedman

There was a kind of contempt for Austrian economics among the Chicago School economists. Hayek's name had been proposed to the Department of Economics back in 46. Milton Friedman actually gave an early version prior to publication of the methodology of positive economics. There was always a tension there in terms of methodology certainly between Friedman's vision and Hayek's vision.
