What's the Most Sinister Looking Contact?
A New York Times editor asked reporters to delineate and get some specifics, you know, up high in the piece with what we call in our business, the nut graph. And he thought the reader needed these details so they could distinguish between what might be innocent and what might be sinister. The piece wasn't able to do that because they didn't have that information. But two weeks later it was explained a lot of contacts can be innocent. As I said, they can be political contacts,. They can be business contacts. So therefore, just because there were a lots of contacts doesn't mean they were nefarious or sinister. It depends.
