Confirmation bias is an ignoring any sort of evidence that would, you know, dis confirm that. It's actually something that I actively try to battle within myself. And it really hinders our growth and obviously it has a big impact on our financial behaviors. We spend a lot of time in the book talking about this idea of friction which is really powerful when it comes to clients.
Dr. Charles and Dr. Brad talk about the usefulness (and lack thereof) of behavioral finance as it relates to financial planning practice. They then dive into several of the biases and heuristics that they see as most relevant to a practitioner and how each can be applied in practice.
