The New Kind of Common Mistake

So many writers aren't writing specs anymore. They're not learning that vital skill of writing someone else's show. Emulating the show runner is a struggle for them because they don't, they haven't practiced. And so I just really want to emphasize to folks who are about to get their first job, who are in their first job right now. It is incredibly important that you read every document that's available. If there's if there's no scripts written yet read scripts that you're showing a road on other shows try to get a handle on what their style is.
