My Mother Wants Me to Make This Radio Story

This story was originally commissioned by KCRW's Unfictional with Bob Carlson. My mother does not want me to make this radio story. She doesn't want anyone to hear her voice or to judge her for her accent. This is the crux of our conflict as mother and daughter. I want to expose everything and she wants to hide it all away. We both are from two different sides of the spectrum. So close yet so far.
