What Would You Like Researchers to Know About Visualizing Data and Information?

i'm currently a graphic editor at scientific american magazine. My colleague Amanda montanez focuses on the fast turnaround news items, and i generally focus on longer form from feature stories. Sometimes we create the visualizations ourselves, but we are so higher in ar direct frelance designers. So let's see, what would i, as a practitioner, like researchers to know about visualizing data and information? I think that critiques that are centred on whether arnauto graphic is successful or not can be misleading. So much hinges on context.
