The Sky Gypsies grew to 200 members, each paying between $500 and $270,000 a year for the right to hang out with John McAfee. They were a mix of other rich people McAfee liked and random strangers he plucked from obscurity and gave a role in his weird flying club. He bought an enormous house with several hangers in rural New Mexico and filled it with vintage automobiles he and his friends could off-road in.
