Introduction
i'm bringing in voices from two guest faculty at i b c. Last year, doctor s grober interviewed amy jill levine and mark bretler for a round table talks that we invite our students to listen in on. They talked about levine and bretler's new book called the bible with and with jesus - how jews and christians read the same stories differently. We know that the bible does not need to be rewritten, but it needs to be reread. As a modern audience reading an ancient text, these are some of my dialogues.
