The Democrats Inflation Reduction Act Is Supposed to Reduce Emissions by About 5.3% Per Year
We've increased emissions in 2022 over the previous year, 1.3% higher emissions than the previous year. Emissions from electricity generation did go down, but pretty much all the other use of fossil fuels went up. And this is at a time when the Democrats inflation reduction act is supposed to, over the next decade, reduce emissions by about 5.3% per year. So it's not looking very good for and I don't think there's much in the inflation reduction act that can guarantee any emissions reductions anywhere close to what they're advertising will happen.
