Deep dentin or the gendro-margent, those are some of the most difficult places to bond to because the light can't reach there. The closer we get to the CEJ, the poorer it's the surface for bonding to. Even with the bonding agents we have today, I think that they're capable of doing it. People don't always pay as much attention as they should to the light carrying technique. And they don't probably cure the material well enough.
