What Are Your Most Difficult Decisions?
Sir Haniel: For us it's about ensuring that the curatorial integrity of what we want to do is kept intact and continues to be held. So I would say for example the collections of contemporary Chinese art, which are very very new to the museum world as an intact historical avant-garde presence. We acquired a very important Duchamp collection because Duchamp was a tool really for those contemporary Chinese artists. By bringing Duchamp into the museum and presenting his work, we're kind of de-centering a figure like that.
