The World Cup Final

Argentina beat Croatia 1-0 to win the World Cup in Brazil. Lionel Messi scored both goals for Argentina as they claimed their first ever major tournament title. Cristiano Ronaldo was named man of the match after scoring four goals and assisting one. Diego Maradona had a hand in all three goals with his shot from outside the penalty area which made it 2-1 before half time. The final also saw Luis Suarez score an incredible solo goal that put him on level par with Robin van Persie, Pele and Bobby Charlton among other greats who have been part of footballing history.
