Napoleon apparently convinced people to buy stocks in his college by claiming it had a capital value of over a hundred thousand dollars. In reality, the entirety of the enterprise was worth around 12 hundred dollars at best. After another one of his business failures, he confessed, i had spent the better portion of my life chasing a rainbow.
