Will Paxos Like Protocols Be Great for Hotel Reservations?

In strong consistency, that Paxos like protocols provide a request is committed and all the replicas agree on this committed value at that particular sequence in their log. In eventual consistency, what could happen is that the replicas can deviate in terms of the sequence of requests that they are executing. And there are other reconciliation mechanisms that allow them to converge eventually on a final state. This sort of relaxation for eventual consistency protocols give them the performance edge. So they can go much faster in orders of magnitude faster even than consensus protocols.
