A bomb hit a house in london, killing everybody in the house. My mother was eight and three quarters months pregnant at the time. So my father took her to king's cross railway station with all his money. He gave it to an amused clerk who worked out that this ticket would take her to blackpool. The train took three hours, i think, three days,. because of the bombing and everything. She had me just outside blackpool, place called clevelys. And then almost immediately went back to london with me. I was very much whal.
