The Beast Has Already Been Killed

The king decided to wrap up the old story by claiming that this was clearly the beast. By november, francois antoine went home and chastels were released from prison. The court had already celebrated success, so they couldn't really afford the embarrassment of telling everyone that they had messed up. So with the court washing its hands of it, and even new newspapers looking the other way, it was now clear that the locals were left alone to deal with the beast. We know that somewhere between 60 and possibly over a hundred people in that period died.
