The Spectrum of Innovation
Many business leaders don't even realize they're these two right mindsets, right? One is exploit and manage and one is explore and discover. But then it's a spectrum. So you have efficiency innovation. You can innovate to improve a supply chain. That's a different kind of innovation than a new business model. The best leaders are immediately going to adopt that dual mindset. It's not just where to live in the company. It's the mindset in that switch. And that's a huge thing. I only discovered this last year to frame it in the personal space, not just in the organizational space.
