In this country, we have seen a modest fall of 17 grams a day per person. Simply putting more plamt base options on menus is one way to encourage people to eat less meat. The nutrient that people would worry about most would be iron. Young women are most at risk of iron deficiency, anemia. But if you don't eat any meat at all, then you're at slightly higher risk.
