Vedanta gives a philosophical spiritual turn to this very, very ordinary thing that happens in everyone's life. The idea that these things are not eternal, they are not everlasting, these things come and go will help us mentally. Don't expect permanence from things which are essentially impermanent. Never expect a complete, continuous succession of happiness in this world, which is essentially imperfect. That's why you're talking about the process.
