I'm Not Trying to Plan for Everything, but I Can Retroactively Impose More Structure on It

I do observe an interesting trend in language design and like, I don't know how languages are evolving. On the one hand, you could argue that there is a lot more, okay, weird stuff's going to happen at runtime. But it's also true that all of these dynamically typed languages are getting static type checkers. It arguably is a move in the other direction away from the like chaotic anything goes towards the more structured.
