The Divide in the Labor Party Between Hard and Soft Reformism
No trend in the labor party was really revolutionary in the communist or leninist sense. But you had a view that socialist society was something quite different from capitalim. The main way of getting there was through parliament, parliamentary reform and incremental anchanges introduced by a labor government. That position subsequently got displaced, certainly in practice, and later on, perhaps in the 19 fifties by a view that you didn't really need to talk about getting to socialist society at all.
