Role Modeling: A Powerful Method of Behaviour Change

Is there evidence that role modeling actually works? When people see a senior doctor behaving in a certain way than the juniors or other members of the team will follow their lead. Is there evidence for that, I wonder? Yeah, there is. And it's a recognised method of behaviour change and also of culture change. It often is a really key way in which cultures are developed. We've probably all felt it ourselves in our own professional lives where we've joined the team and quickly found that we change our behaviour to match who was all in that team. But I think it's definitely something that we've all felt and it's a very powerful behaviour change method.
