It was at the rap party for Firestarter, one of Drew's films that she starred in, where she first drank alcohol. In an interview with a UK talk show years later, she said, I had grown up very fast. People were just laughing and saying, you know, I dare you to do this. And I did and I got really drunk. It was such a scary, frightening feeling, yet it was such an escape from everything else in the world that I took a liking to it. The way both of her parents let her down, like let's not let John Drew off the board at all. He was completely absent. So he wasn't doing anything to really help
