The Problem With Slow Uptake of Interventions
Rita Mehta: Implementation scientists seek answers from physicians, patients and the broader community. She says there's a problem of slow uptake of practices that have been shown to be really effective. And then also for some groups such as historically marginalized communities, it might even take longer for them to be able to access new treatments after 17 years. "Hopefully we can help spread the word about how to actually implement those interventions," she says.
