Chris Shifflett: "I kind of stuck a nerve because growing up there, that was, that was always the thing. Like, you know, we wanted to see Pearl Jam and we want to see R.E.M." He says Nashville venues were too small for his punk rock band's fan base. The West Coast town record in 2017 was the first time he had no dead peasants dragging him down.
