The power of inversion is that it makes clear what you need to think hard about if you want to avoid failure. It's simply a new lens for looking at problems and decisions. So just pick a big decision, like someone you'l thinking about hiring, or a presentation that you're giving to senior leadership, and ask yourself the following question: What will cause me to fail?
