Why Should We Rely on Our Best Explanatory Power?
There is indeed no logically necessary connection between truth and explanatory power. A bad explanation such as solopism may be true. Even the best and truest available theory may make a false prediction in particular cases. No valid form of reasoning can logically rule out such possibilities or even prove them unlikely. We tend not to prove things at all. That's not the metric. We're explaining stuff, bad explanations, of to a penny,. something like solepism idea that maybe only you exist and you're just dreaming everything into reality.
