Shell's Nigerian Subsidiary Is Liable for Oil Spills, but the Amount Pending
The district court of the hague ruled in two thousand and 13 that shell couldn't be held liable for the actions of its nigerian subsidiary. But chima says it's not just about the money, when you have wronged somebody, change of attitude is key. The court ordered shell to install a leak detection system on the aruma pipe line so this hopefully doesn't keep happening.
