A friend of mine who went to seminary in Dallas at Dallas Theological Seminary, which is in its history was a big proponent of pre-millennial dispensationalism. When we were younger, we were told that Christ was coming back. And so we didn't need to save for retirement. Well, it turns out now that we're all approaching retirement, we've got to make up for lost time because we were just confident that Jesus was returning. So we were, you know, what we would probably say were irresponsible and planning for the future. But I think that besides the environment, there's just this general pessimistic view when you think that it's getting worse and not better
