Setting the Right Expectations for Trust

What about the idea of setting the right expectations for trust? That's not like emotional. Emotional choke up. What do you mean by that? If I say, I am unemployed and I need a job and I'm going to trust God that he's going to get me that job. Then if it doesn't happen, then what do you do? Kind of punt the kick the can down the road or maybe here's more of a serious or hypothetical that can really mess with people for sure is my son's got cancer and God, I trust that you're going to heal him and then he dies. All of these things don't need to satisfy the sorrow that's really there either
