The Importance of Reason

Instrumental reason is the type of reason that helps us rationally progress from a starting point to a conclusion. Think of how this type of reason impacts many enlightenment thinkers who spend their lives trying to create elaborate systems about the universe. The very fact that so many thinkers seemingly prove things that were mutually exclusive just goes to show why this could be a problem.
