World Bank's ID4D - Building Blocks and Digital Public Goods
World Bank's ID4D is working in approximately 50 countries and sister initiative, which is digitizing government-to-person payments. One of the biggest challenges we see time and time again, and this is not just in developing countries,. We also observe this in developed, in-come countries as vendor lock it. And I don't necessarily see the building blocks and visual public goods approaches as contradictory. In fact, they could in many ways be mutually reinforcing. This is a tectonic shift from the silo contact specific approach of problem solving to involving diverse stakeholders.
