What Surprising Poets Are You Interviewing?
Wyatt: We've been talking a lot about kind of the emotional impact of poetry, but this is also going back to a mouthful of air. So why don't we talk a little bit about the actual craft? Like, one of the things that you mentioned when we were discussing this interview beforehand was that interviewing these poets, you've had some really interesting insights about what the writing process can look likelike. What surprised you most when interviewing the contemporary poets? Wy Wyatt: i think the biggest single surprise was chasia karesi, who came on and she had a poem called the taxidermist written in the voice of a taxidemist working on a mouse. And
