You can tell if the speaker doesn't have energy, or you can also feel that you cannot engage the audience much better. Many people would have passions by itself, but they don't have the courage to actually give the public speaking. What I would recommend is to start sharing some of these stories about what you are passionate about,. Start talking with your closest friend when you have a dinner, coffee breaks with your colleagues and always you will get supportive people.
