The Relationship Between Temperature and Function of a Quantum System

Superconducting qubits and semiconducting qubits are separated by relatively small energy gap that at room temperature we will just not be able to separate. So we need to cool it down to extremely low temperatures in which we can actually see the quantum behavior. These are sort of engineering a system like these loops of aluminum that where the current can flow clockwise or counterclockwise.
