As a co-host, I'm almost like a freelance contractor for the owner. And it's between you and that host to determine the percentage and how much you get paid. We split those payments right with an Airbnb. If it ever went away to where I couldn't split those payments, I would have the owner receive the entire payment and then pay me out. Typically a property manager will collect all of the earnings and then pay it out. In that case, since you're holding so much money, you're the one that's paying it out. So that's another reason why you would have to be licensed.
