The Last President Gets Wasted

Franklin Pierce died of cirrhosis of the liver in 1867. He had joined the Protestant church a few years before, which he picked because Protestant ministers refused to denounce slavery from their pulpits. After Lincoln gets assassinated, a mob forms outside his house because they want to know why he's not flying the American flag in honor of Lincoln. And he comes out and speaks and says not flying the flag has nothing to do with patriotism. But by the time he finished the speech, I got my nuts squished.
