Is It Okay to Go Back?

Matthew is playing on this verse to say something about Jesus's Jewishness and his Moses-like activities. This is already previewing in a sense what's going to happen. Your oppressors are going to meet with an untimely end, they're dying, and now you're going to go back and finish your job. I think that's an interesting possibility for interpretation. It's like, God is hardening his heart because I'm not done yet. And it sounds sort of cruel and stuff. But you know, it's, it is the story.
